We'll fight them on the beaches

ThePirateBay's not dead yet.

After its ISP's ISP was sued to disconnect TPB , and the tracker experienced just about 3 hours of partial downtime, they're back up and running having simply switched to a new server set. (Though in case of drama, check out the META TORRENT of all the torrents, or the clone that's been put together based on the file.)

After the apparent setback at spectrial the tracker made the sudden announcement of sale to a questionably legitimate gaming company. Now said acquisition is in question, and though the official vote occurs on Thursday (tomorrow), who knows whether the shareholders will ok the purchase with the CEO mysteriously stepping down and the Global Factory Gaming suddenly being wrapped in controversy.

All I know is, TPB's blog includes a heartwrenching battle cry:
We shall never surrender, and if, which I do not for a moment believe, the Internets or a large part of it were subjugated and starving, then our Empire beyond the seas, armed and guarded by the Anon Fleet, would carry on the struggle, until, in Cerf's good time, the New World, with all its power and might, steps forth to the rescue and the liberation of the old.

And a fuckin sweet t-shirt, which is apparently going to be sent to the front lines of the enemy.
Thursday is judgement day, when the stockholders at GGF decide where TPB sails next.

Update:
Just in, the clone that's been put together based on the meta-torrent of the entire piratebay has now itself been threatened by the Romanian RIAA , for further updates you can probably just read TorrentFreak since they clearly have the most up-to-date information on the issue.
